How to count Non-functional Development

This group of Quanter elements contains activities that involve development but do not increase functionality, nor modify the existing one, in the measured application.

This group is composed of the following subgroups.

  • Look&feel changes
  • Database optimization
  • Process Optimization
  • Platform migration
  • Data migration
  • Generic purpose / Unspecified

3.1 Look&feel changes

This subgroup of Quanter elements contains requirements related to cosmetic changes that do not have a functional impact in the application. For example, changing colors of the application, changes de style but maintaining the same fields, etc.

3.2 Database optimization

This subgroup of Quanter elements contains requirements related to changes to optimize the database. For example, adding indexes, etc.

3.3 Process optimization

This subgroup of Quanter elements contains requirements related to changes to optimize the processes not changing the functionality provided by the process. For example, making a report to be executed in less than a minute.

3.4 Platform migration

This subgroup of Quanter elements contains requirements related to changes in the technological platform of a process. For example, changing the technology of the solution.

3.5 Data migration

This subgroup of Quanter elements contains requirements related to data migration. For example, manual execution of several scripts for the migration.

3.6 Generic purpose / Unspecified

When an element is not related to the other subgroups.
